Head on: six injured on umbumbulu road

2011-04-04 00:00

SIX people were injured, four seriously, when a minibus taxi and a light motor vehicle collided head-on on the R603 Umbumbulu Road near Amanzimtoti yesterday morning.

The cause of the incident remains unclear. Indications are that one of the vehicles veered from its allocated lane. The driver of the car and five of the taxi’s occupants, had clambered from their respective vehicles and were standing near the crash when paramedics arrived. All the wounded were stabilised at the scene and taken to the Prince M’Shiyeni Memorial Hospital. — WR.
