Help identify crime victim

2013-11-21 00:00

POLICE are looking for the family and relatives of a woman found murdered and possibly raped at Bob Mattison informal settlement on Sunday.

According to the police spokesperson Captain Thulani Zwane, the unidentified woman’s body was naked and badly bruised. She is approximately 30 to 40 years old.

“No clothing items or personal property were found on her or in the vicinity, which indicates that she may have been stripped naked and raped somewhere else before being severely assaulted and murdered.”

He described her as a black woman, medium dark in complexion, tall and with short black hair. “A post mortem will be held to determine the exact cause of death and to determine whether the victim was raped,” said Zwane.

Anyone with information regarding the incident or who can assist in identifying the deceased should contact Detective Constable Sikhumbuzo Ngcobo on 033 387 9527 or 072 470 3938, or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
