Hockey: College, Northwood face off

2012-03-20 00:00

SCHOOLBOY hockey got under way on Saturday with some close results.

Maritzburg College were given a fright when Northwood scored the first goal two minutes into the game. College gradually started putting passes together but they were unable to convert any of the three penalty corners awarded. Just after half-time, Tim Guise-Brown converted the first of two corners awarded to level the scores. Ten minutes later, David Robertson put the ball into the net to give College the lead. Northwood could not equalise as College defence held strong.

College played a game Clifton side on Sunday and won 8-0. Glenwood beat Michaelhouse 2-0
