Hospice: family fun for Market day

ENJOY a family breakfast, buy special handmade craft items, have a peep at the books and plants on sale, or just relax and enjoy the entertainment at the Msunduzi Hospice Country Market from 8 am to 1 pm on Saturday.

The tea garden will be serving pancakes, samoosas and chicken tikka rolls. Bed socks, wheat bags, home-made scarves, and lots of jams and marmalades will be on sale from the Hospice pantry.

Ed Kidgell will provide live entertainment on his guitar and saxophone from 9.30 am. The tail wagging dog competition will take place at 10 am. Entry is R10 and registration is from 9 am at Hospice.

The judging categories include: best dressed, physically challenged, cutest, ugliest, owner look a-like, most unusual and most popular. Maureen Vida of the SPCA is on the judging panel.

There will be performances by Dance Studio 1 at 11 am followed by Maritzburg Christian School. There will also be a jumping castle for the children.

The Hospice Book Festival runs from 8.30 am to 3 pm on June 30 and July 1 and from 8.30 am to 1 pm on July 2.
