Hospice hosts climber Wisedale

2010-03-30 00:00

MSUNDUZI Hospice will be hosting a motivational breakfast with climber Sean Wisedale, who has scaled the highest peak on each of the seven continents, at Golden Horse Casino on Friday, April 16, from 8 am to 11 am.

In 1996, Wisedale covered the Mount Everest expedition as a freelance photographer.

Seven years later, with a load of camera gear, bags of determination and some luck, Wisedale became the first South African to climb the highest mountain on each continent — the Seven Summits.

And when frostbite, mountain sickness and blizzards turned the crew around, he just kept on going.

Wisedale is motivated and focused and has passion and drive to motivate anyone to reach their dreams and aspirations.

A previous presentation drew this review: “An awe-inspiring presentation. Sean is a great presenter, who comes across as a very extraordinary normal guy.

“He understates his awesome achievements and shows what sheer guts, desire, determination, perseverance and patience can achieve,” said Gregory Whitehead, a market and business analyst at Mondi.

Msunduzi Hospice has cautioned interested people to make early bookings to avoid disappointment.

Tickets cost R120 per person or R1 200 for a table of 10 guests.

To book your seat, contact Msunduzi Hospice at 033 344 1560 or e-mail vijaya@hospicekzn.co.za or anila@hospicekzn.co.za.
