Hospital seeks help to identify woman

GREY’S Hospital needs assistance in locating the family of a woman brought to the hospital two weeks ago.

She was found unconscious on the side of a road in Copesville by paramedics and was taken to Northdale Hospital. She was later transferred to Grey’s Hospital. She is estimated to be around 39 years old.

Grey’s public relations officer Zamo Mntungwa said although the woman is now awake, she is not speaking and they are struggling to locate her family.

“She was brought in unconscious … she blinks and everything but she does not speak. This has made it very difficult to locate her family. We are appealing to the public who might know her to come forward because I think there could be a family out there looking for her,” Mntungwa said, adding the paramedics who brought her in did not specify which road they had found her on.

“They just said Copesville area in their report.”

Mntungwa said their medical team had not yet been able to determine the nature of her illness, which could possibly be affecting her speech.
