Howick: man (65) found dead in bedroom

A 65-YEAR-OLD man, Fano Zondi of Mthandabuzi in Howick, was found dead in his bedroom on Thursday evening, with an open wound on his forehead.

Police spokeswoman Inspector Joey Jeevan said Zondi’s girlfriend found his lifeless body and alerted the police. No arrests have been made. Police appeal to anyone with information about the incident to contact Inspector Deon du Plessis at 033 239 9336 or 083 777 0898.

In Durban, a night at a club, Zoom, nearly ended fatally for two men who were attacked in the early hours of yesterday morning just outside the entrance. One man was stabbed in the buttocks and the other was struck with a pole, causing massive spinal and head trauma, paramedics said.
