Howick: man burnt in row

A domestic dispute in Ebumnandini Section in Howick resulted in a man suffering burn wounds to his face and chest on Wednesday afternoon.

Police established that Ernest Ntombela (30) had been involved in an argument with his girlfriend. It is alleged that an altercation ensued, which resulted in the girlfriend throwing a kettle of boiling water at Ntombela, causing burn wounds to his face and chest.

He was taken to a clinic in Mphophomeni where he was treated for his injuries. He was not hospitalised.

The 25-year-old woman was arrested at the scene, and faces charges of attempted murder. She is due to appear in the Howick Magistrate’s Court soon.
