PERTH — The Hurricanes have notched up their third consecutive away Super Rugby win when they thrashed the Force 42-13 in Perth yesterday.

Tries by Cory Jane, Mark Abbott, Victor Vito, Julian Savea and James Marshall ensured that the ’Canes walked away from the match with a full compliment of five log points, securing a bonus-point victory for scoring four tries or more.

They led 15-6 at the half-time interval and never looked like relinquishing that lead as they kept running the ball out of their own half to batter the Force defence.

The result propels the Hurricanes to the summit of the overall standings on 13 points, while the Force remain in ninth position.

Force: 13 - Try: Mitchell Scott; Penalties: Zack Holmes, Luke Burton; Conversion: Burton.

Hurricanes: 42 - Tries: Cory Jane, Mark Abbott, Victor Vito, Julian Savea, James Marshall; Conversions: Beauden Barrett (2), Marshall (2); Penalties: Barrett (3).
