IPL: Brad Hodge fires Royals into semis against Mumbai

2013-05-23 00:00

DELHI — Brad Hodge powered the Rajasthan Royals to a four–wicket win in the Indian Premier League eliminator against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi yesterday.

Hodge smashed the first two deliveries of the final over for consecutive sixes to fire the Royals into tomorrow’s semi-finals against the Mumbai Indians as he steered Rajasthan to 135/6.

Earlier, Darren Sammy’s cameo of 29 runs of 21 balls, and Cameron White guided the Sunrisers to 132 for seven on a slow track against a disciplined attack.

Sunrisers’ Shikhar Dhawan scored a slow 33 off 39 balls and failed to ignite the innings.
