‘Idols’: Top 10 finalists take to the big stage

2009-03-06 00:00

Idols has finally reached the all-important Top 10 Spectacular phase. As of this weekend, the Top 10 Idols finalists will perform in front of thousands of fans at the Mosaik Teatro in Johannesburg.

Local contestants Pixie Bennett and Jason Hartman, who both attended Howick High School, are in the Top 10.

This will be the first time that the contestants will perform in front of such an overwhelming crowd. It will also be the first time that they’ll be accompanied by the Idols band.

This season, the contestants will also be allowed to perform with their own instruments.

Also, for the first time in South Africa, the show can be viewed in simulcast on Easyview as well as on the Magic World channel on DStv Compact.

This means that viewers don’t have to catch it on M-Net (provided they have DStv).

Watch Idols tomorrow at 5.30 pm. Viewers who don’t have M-Net, can log on to the M-Net website and view all the performances online after the show.
