Injuries: Boks delay naming squad for Wallabies clash

2011-10-05 00:00

INJURIES have delayed the announcement of the Bok team for Sunday. The team for the clash with Australia was to be announced last night (South African time) — but will take place tomorrow night.

Bryan Habana limped off against Samoa with a

haematoma, Francois Hougaard took a knee to the head and JP Pietersen is the most doubtful of the three with a knee injury. The only fully fit specialist wing in the squad is Odwa Ndungane. There has been no indication as yet whom coach Peter De Villiers will start with at hooker — skipper John Smit or Bismarck du Plessis.

Wallabies winger Digby Ioane is available again. Australia will name their team on Friday.
