Intimate details about the ‘Queen of Bling’

Bitch, Please! I’m Khanyi Mbau

Lesley Mofokeng

FROM a young age, Khanyi Mbau has always known she’d be a star, have fame and the riches that come with it.

It was all a matter of time and it did not matter who she hurt in the process.

However, in her pursuit for fame and fortune, she also lost herself.

When Mbau finally achieved fame, she became hungry for more. No one could tell her anything because she believed that she was the best thing that had ever happened.

This biography talks about her journey through self-discovery, the things she has gone through and the lessons she has learnt.

Along the way, she stumbled across the man of her dream bank balance, ex-husband Mandla Mthembu, but this was no fairy-tale marriage.

Mbau reveals some intimate details about the infamous relationship, becoming a mother, suffering from abuse, cheating, being a lonely wife, and finally getting the courage to leave the poisonous marriage.

She also talks about her affair with business mogul Theunis Crous and, of course, how he took care of her every need.

Dubbed the “Queen of Bling”, the materialistic Mbau says she did not care about the fact that Crous was married — as long as her needs were satisfied.

If you read the tabloids or you are an expert on celebrity gossip, then there are no new revelations about Mbau in this book.

It contains no scandal you have not heard of or read about, and it is more like one long gossip page that is coming from the horse’s mouth. The only new thing is that, through all the turmoil, she “discovered herself”.

She acknowledges that she has made some bad choices and mistakes, which she has learnt from.

Mbau is becoming a better version of herself and her mistakes are not bigger than she is.
