YUSUF Pathan (49 not out) and Jacques Kallis (33 not out) steered the Kolkata Knight Riders to a comfortable eight-wicket win over the Rajasthan Royals at Eden Gardens last night in their IPL clash.

The pair added an unbroken 78 and the game was won with 16 balls to spare. Sanju Samson (40) top-scored for the Royals in their moderate 132 for six.

Pathan bludgeoned his 49 not out off 35 balls and Kallis was typically serene in making 33 off 30 deliveries.

The win was Kolkata’s fourth for the season and they can still qualify for the play offs. The Royals remain in third place.
