KKR overpower Bangalore

2014-05-23 00:00

ROBIN Uthappa continued his astonishing run of form in the IPL with a contribution of 83 from just 51 balls to lead the Kolkata Knight Riders to a commanding victory by 30 runs in their match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at Eden Gardens yesterday.

The Knight Riders far exceeded the “par” score with 195/5 and, led once again by the irrepressible and unreadable Sunil Narine, restricted the visitors to 165/5 in reply to eliminate them from play-off contention and book their own place in the top four.

Also last night, Sunrisers Hyderabad beat the Chennai Super Kings by six wickets. David Warner top-scored with 90 off 45 balls.
