KZN road accidents: four killed, 11 injured

FOUR people died and 11 were injured in road accidents in KwaZulu-Natal at the weekend.

According to Netcare 911 spokesperson Jeff Wicks, on the M1 Higginson Highway in Chatsworth, a man died and his wife and two children were injured when their vehicle slammed into a tree.

Near KwaMakhutha on the M37 highway, a man died whe his vehicle rolled several times.

In Durban at the intersection of West and Gardiner streets, a woman died after her car collided with another vehicle. Two other people were injured.

Between Tongaat and Verulam, six people were injured, one of them critically, when three cars colli­ded.

On the N2 northbound near Durban International Airport, a pedestrian was killed when he was struck by a truck while crossing the road.
