DEVELOPMENT finance institution Khula Enterprise Finance Ltd will host business sessions over three days for small businesses in KwaZulu-Natal this week.

The sessions kick off tomorrow in Richards Bay.

Khula will host a workshop in Pietermaritzburg on Thursday before rounding up the programme on Friday in Port Shepstone.

The primary role of Khula is to facilitate access to finance for small, micro and medium enterprises (SMMEs).

Khula’s KwaZulu-Natal regional manager, Tembakazi Koali, who will host the business sessions, said new and existing SMMEs are being targeted.

The sessions will also provide an opportunity for entrepreneurs to meet and to engage with Khula delegates and other stakeholders.

In attendance will be representatives from the Industrial Development Corporation, Small Enterprise Development Agency, National Youth Development Agency, Enablis, Business Partners and retail finance institutions.

Khula is a wholesale finance institution working in partnership with its countrywide network of public and private finance intermediaries.

“The business sessions are a vital information-sharing platform for small business enterprises,” said Koali.

Khula’s products and business support services include wholesale loans, credit indemnities, joint-venture funds and business support services (pre- and post- loan mentorship).
