Kokstad: Mini-skirt uproar

2009-04-15 00:00

MINI-SKIRT-wearing officials at the Greater Kokstad Municipality have come under fire from the mayor for their plunging necklines and short skirts.

Kokstad Mayor Mbulelo Sithole surprised many people who attended a public meeting at the Kokstad community hall this week when he targeted junior municipal officials after community members complained about their bad behaviour. “It is very embarrassing for me to have to respond to you [the community] about the bad behaviour of junior officials. I want to put a stop to this because the only thing they [junior officials] know is [how] to wear miniskirts exposing their stomachs and cleavages,” said an irate Sithole.

“I will never ever protect disrespectful and rude officials,” said Sithole. He said the municipality has apportioned about R250 000 to train junior officials.
