THE 2009 annual Desmond Tutu Peace Lecture is to be delivered by the Right Reverend Rubin Phillip: Anglican Bishop of Natal who will speak on: “Peace Today: A Quest For Environmental Justice,” at the Temple David tomorrow.

The purpose of the lecture is two-fold. First, to acknowledge the contribution of all those who have supported the struggle for liberation in South Africa through peaceful means, and secondly to promote understanding and co-operation in a multi-faith democratic South Africa, emphasising that all the religious traditions represented in South Africa subscribe to liberation, justice, peace and reconciliation.

The lecture takes place at Temple David, 369 Peter Mokaba Road, (Ridge Road), Overport, Durban tomorrow at 7 pm. Refreshments will be served after the lecture. Inquiries to Saydoon at 031 373 5404 or 073 241 3260.
