‘Lewd and provocative’ poster amended

2009-08-18 00:00

THE raunchy poster for the sexy farce Noises Off, banned from street poles by the eThekwini Municipality because it is “lewd and provocative”, will still be displayed in local restaurants and entertainment areas.

The poster shows a woman dressed in sexy white lingerie.

Noises Off opens at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre this week and is also the main production at the Witness Hilton Arts Festival in September.

The show is a classic about the hilarious — and sexy — goings-on at a theatre company.

The show’s producer and director Steven Stead said the team have decided to forget about the poster issues and concentrate on the show.
