Life line director 'steps aside' after 22 years

2011-12-02 00:00

Outgoing Life Line and Rape Crisis director Debbie Harrison is welcomed at the Jewel of India restaurant to a surprise dinner party by the incoming director, Sinikwe Biyela, last night. Harrison has been with the centre for 22 years and she says she is not retiring. ‘I’m just stepping aside for my colleague Sinikiwe to take over. She’s been with the centre for seven years now, working in various departments, so I’m confident about her because she knows the centre very well. She’s quite ready for the task ahead,’ said Harrison.
