Lions: Last squad in KZN lands

THE Indomitable Lions of Cameroon finally landed at King Shaka International Airport in Durban yesterday, making them the last KZN-based team to arrive.

The Cameroon football team are one of Africa’s most successfull sides, boasting one of the most impressive strikers in the game, Samuel E’to, who plies his trade in Italy for Inter-Milan. Those in Durban will be happy to see the man in action during training sessions and in the matches.

The team will be staying at the Oyster Box Hotel in Umhlanga Rocks, north of Durban, and will conduct their training sessions at Northlands Primary School in Durban North.

Cameroon were the first African team to reach the quarter- finals of the World Cup, in 1990, losing to England in extra time.

They will open their campaign against Japan on June 14 in Bloem­fontein.
