Lions Show will delight all tastes

The annual Lions Show, to be held from Wednesay, July 13, to Sunday, July 17, in Port Shepstone, sees the Chef Theatre hosting celebrity chefs and their local counterparts in a demonstration of fine cuisine.

There will be lots to see and do with several food stalls and wine tasting.

The Women’s Institute will be exhibiting a variety of different arts and crafts, including beading, card making, quilting and painting.

The Lions’ evening entertainment will kick off with the Miss South Coast crowning ball on the night of Wednesday, July 13, followed by the “Lions Laugh Out Loud” with top South African comedian Kevin Perkins, alias “Michael Naicker”, on the Thursday.

Dinner entertainment will be provided by the talented, attractive Samantha Landers. Thursday evenings are traditionally a corporate evening with an advert on massive big screens with each table booking.

The Friday offers what organisers describe as “an awesome line-up” with three hot music acts — Freezone, Forthlock and top South African DJ Paul Almeida.

“Our headline act Goodluck is a hot mix of jazzy commercial house with live sax, keys and percussion. Don’t miss what promises to be the biggest party of the year!” says a Lions statement.

“Saturday night we are once again bringing the best of musical theatre to Port Shepstone. The critically acclaimed barnyard style production Kicking it Country is coming to town. The show will feature an eight-member cast made up of three vocalists, keyboards, lead guitar, bass guitar, drums and saxophone.”

On Sunday night Durban-based party band Salty Dog will be rocking late into the night.
