Local elections: ANC holds 99th bash on IFP turf

The ANC continues its campaign to win over former IFP run municipalities in KwaZulu-Natal. The second part of its 2011 local government election launch and provincial 99th birthday celebration takes place in the uMkhanyakude district on Saturday.

“The ANC is confident that it will win over uMkhanyakude District and other municipalities in the North of KwaZulu-Natal,” said ANC KZN Spokesperson Dr Makhosi Khoza.

“We want to campaign for an overwhelming local government election victory in all districts in KwaZulu-Natal,”Khoza added.

The event will take place at the Shayina Sports Ground and as part of the birthday celebration a number of artists are billed to appear. They include DJ Siyanda, Zakes Bantwini and Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Abagqobhi, Phuzekhemisi and Linda Sibiya.
