Local guitarists return to play in Kloof

2008-01-18 00:00

GUY Buttery and Nibs van der Spuy (pictured) return from their respective globe-trotting gigs to perform on home ground this weekend at the Luna Lounge in Kloof.

The musical duo will be playing numbers from Buttery’s Songs From The Cane Fields and Van der Spuy’s Beautiful Feet.

The pair performed at the legendary Half Moon club in Putney, London, earlier this month, where loyal South Africans and newly converted British fans were treated to the guitar skills of two of KwaZulu-Natal’s more accomplished musicians.

The show begins tomorrow at 7 pm at 16 Dan Pienaar Street, Kloof (road just before Kloof High School). Tickets are R50. CDs will be on sale at the venue. For more information, phone 072 280 1949.
