2008-02-22 00:00

THE Maritzburg Varsity rugby club are to play a pre-season fixture against Hillcrest next Saturday.

Two weeks later a team-building session is to take place in Port Shepstone, but before that sees the second week in March allocated to trials.

The Varsity women’s rugby practices are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 5.30 pm. No experience is necessary.

A special training session this coming Monday sees scrum specialist Doug Pringle imparting his knowledge.

“We still have some openings for players, coaches and managers, and anyone interested can contact me at 082 843 7892,” said Varsity rugby club manager Donna Parau.
