2009-05-29 00:00

TOP South African R’nB artist Loyiso is appearing for the first time at the Old Mutual Music at the Lake concert series on May 31, supported by the Pixie Bennet Band.

One of South Africa’s most multi-faceted R’nB artists, Loyiso Bala’s numerous awards include five South African Music Awards (Samas).

He will be singing his newest and most popular material at this, his debut appearance in the gardens. Singles from his current album I Want You, Blow Your Mind and Take Me Back and Dali Wami were simultaneously all on the top 100 radio charts in South Africa late last year.

The Pixie Bennett Band will appear as the guest artists and will open the concert at 2.30 pm. Pixie Bennett’s participation in the recent Idols competition has helped to expand her band’s growing fan base.

• Tickets R100 (concessions R50 for children six to 12 years), available at Computicket (083 915 8000) and the Info Centre in the Durban Botanic Gardens at 031 309 1170.
