MEC: Political events won’t change policies

2008-10-07 00:00

National Business Initiative (NBI) CEO Andre Fourie with Finance and Economic Development MEC Dr Zweli Mkhize and Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) president Moses Tembe were at a business breakfast hosted by the NBI in Durban yesterday. The NBI is a voluntary coalition of South African and multinational companies working towards sustainable growth and development in South Africa.

In his address, Mkhize thanked NBI for its role in creating linkages between big and small business, saying this is fundamental in growing the economy.

Mkhize assured delegates that the recent political developments will not undermine the government’s service delivery mandate. ‘The economic growth and development policies remain unchanged, and the business of government continues unhindered,’ he said.
