Man sought in mall Taser attack

POLICE believe that the man pictured may be able to help them in their investigation into the recent Taser attack at Liberty Midlands Mall.

Police spokesperson Captain Thulane Zwane said the man could have useful information regarding the November 4 attack, where Steers restaurant employee Nonkululeko Thaver (27) was robbed as she walked to the bank to deposit the shop’s weekend takings.

She was confronted by two unknown men, one of whom produced a Taser gun, placed it on her neck and shocked her. The other suspect grabbed the brown bag containing a large amount of money.

They both fled from the scene with the bag.

Thaver was not injured.
