Man’s arm gets crushed inside machinery

A MAN was rushed to hospital after his arm was allegedly crushed by a machine yesterday.

The victim, who works as a fitter and turner for Anderson Engineering in Willowton was injured when his overall got caught in the machine. The Witness was told his left arm got trapped in the machinery and emergency services were called in to help free him.

His arm was reportedly broken in multiple places.

Anderson Engineering confirmed the incident, but said the company had not experienced such an incident in the last 15 years. A spokesperson said although there had been injuries on duty, they were minor.

The company did not want to release the victim’s name.
