POLICE are looking for an elderly woman from Maqongqo who has been missing for almost two weeks.

Mukile Josephine Gcabashe (77) was last seen by her daughter-in-law on October 4 in Maqongqo, just outside Pietermaritzburg.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant Joey Jeevan said Gcabashe had left her home to go to a local shop, but she never returned.

“Gcabashe is about 1,4 metres in height. She has grey eyes and grey hair. She was last seen wearing a short blue skirt with a maroon shirt with white dots,” said Jeevan.

She urged anyone who might have information about her whereabouts to contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Cyril Nene on 033 390 3521 or on 082 438 2083.
