Mosimane: ‘Media must back off’

2015-04-18 00:00

CAPE TOWN — Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has threatened to quit South African football after constantly finding himself under the media spotlight, for all the wrong reasons.

The outspoken tactician has often landed in hot water with the PSL due to his various criticisms of the league, and in particular the level of refereeing in the top flight.

In fact, the former Bafana Bafana coach has a PSL Disciplinary Committee hearing on April 20 after being charged with misconduct and unsporting behaviour after the league fixture against Mpumalanga Black Aces earlier this month.

Speaking after receiving the Coach of the Month award this week, Mosimane expressed his frustration that despite being a loyal servant of football he is not understood.
