Murder: Rosselloty trial postponed

2012-02-07 00:00

THE trial of Gerald Rosselloty, charged with the murder of his alleged lover, Nokwazi Ntuli, in April 2010, was adjourned in the high court in Pietermaritzburg yesterday until tomorrow.

Rosselloty is also charged with raping a six-year-old girl in 2006.

The hearing, which was scheduled to start yesterday, was postponed as the court is still busy with the trial of Thenjiwe Griffiths.

The state alleges that Rosselloty and Ntuli were involved in an altercation leading to her death at his simplex in Monzali Drive, Hilton, on April 16, 2010.

The indictment alleges that in a bid to cover up what happened Rossellotty set fire to the home and drove Ntuli’s body to an isolated area, where he placed the body on a mattress and set it alight.
