Murder: nephew in court

2012-09-12 00:00

A MAN who allegedly murdered an Nkandla school principal three weeks ago appeared in the KwaMbonambi Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

KwaMbonambi police spokesperson Aubrey Msane said the police arrested Dumisani Thusini (25) on Friday morning after investigations revealed that he was the last person seen with Phiwayinkosi Ntombela (42), who was his uncle. An unlicensed pistol found in his possession was seized and sent for tests.

Ntombela appeared briefly in court yesterday and the matter was remanded to September 27 for a bail application.

Ntombela was on his way to fetch computers for Mashinga High School, in Ulundi, where he was principal, but made a detour to see a traditional healer.

He was not seen alive again.
