Mynahs selected at Kingsmead

2013-11-28 00:00

LAST Saturday, the Kingsmead Mynahs had trials at Kingsmead to select a Mynahs side to play a series of matches against club and senior teams.

This is an opportunity given to players who did not get the nod for the KZN Schools side and allows those who were on the fringe of selection to get a taste of competitive cricket at a tough level.

Clubs and schools sent players to the trials and when all had been counted, a respectable 60 boys had turned out. A Kingsmead Mynahs Schools Invitation team was selected to play a series of matches in and around Durban, plus Pietermaritzburg.

Selectors on the day were Colin Chater (president Kingsmead Mynahs), Philip Lanz (KZN Schools selector), Richard Moolman (1st team cricket coach), John Arthur (former Mynahs president and current committee member) and Allan Norton (KZN Schools selector).
