2011-09-01 00:00

MSUNDUZI Municipality has announced its new Council Chief Whip after the position became vacant when there was a reshuffle about two months ago.

Truman Magubane was unanimously elected the Chief Whip, a position he held during the previous tenure of the Council. This was announced during a full council meeting yesterday.

He took the position previously held by the Deputy Mayor, Thobani Zuma.

“I am grateful to the ANC leadership for having faith and trust in my capabilities to do this job,” said Magubane.

He said it was his sincere desire to see the councillors, officials and employees within the municipality co-operate with each other irrespective of their political affiliations.
