New service: MyWitness on your cellphone

2008-05-19 00:00

CALLING anyone with a phone: MyWitness is coming. Readers will soon be able to get all the news and updates of The Witness on their cellphones with the upcoming launch of MyWitness.

MyWitness is a first for any newspaper in South Africa. MyWitness offers readers reduced costs through chat forums, cheap SMS (25c per SMS) and MMS (69c per MMS) and, in a first for mobile social networking, online banking — with no monthly banking fees attached.

The MyWitness service is available to anyone who has a data-enabled cellphone — users can chat for free, blog for free and be part of the dynamic emerging midlands mobile community.

Keep checking The Witness this week to find out more about this innovative new feature.
