New store: Woolworths food in Howick

Celebrating the opening of the new Woolworths food store in Howick were (from left) uMngeni Mayor Edward Dladla, store manager Jane van den Berg, president of the Howick Chamber of Commerce John Tungay and Town Crier Peter Southwood.

As well as offering quality foods, Woolworths Howick will be making a difference to the local community in other ways.

The store has formed a supportive partnership with Howick Preparatory School and has already handed over a cheque for R5 000.

Together with Howick Preparatory School, Woolworths Howick will be supporting two under resourced schools in the area, Cosmo Primary and Howick West, and supplying surplus food to these schools. In addition, Woolworths will be investing further in the community through long-term development programmes.
