North Coast: Two bikers die in crash

2013-01-15 00:00

TWO motorcyclists on superbikes died in a head-on crash on the R102 between Stanger and Ballito yesterday afternoon.

Chris Botha of Netcare 911 said reports indicated the bikers were travelling north when they lost control of their motorbikes while passing a vehicle, colliding with an oncoming vehicle travelling in the south-bound lane.

He said the accident debris was scattered over a large area of the roadway.

The suspension forks of one of the bikes was lodged in the front wheel of the vehicle.

Botha said the two bikers died on impact and the driver of the vehicle sustained serious injuries. His two passengers escaped with minor injuries.
