Nxesi: Minister’s child killed in car crash

PUBLIC Works Minister Thulas Nxesi lost his 17-year-old daughter this week in a car accident while she was on her way home to Gauteng from boarding school.

Lona, who was in matric at Eunice Girls’ High School in Bloemfontein, was the second Nxesi child to die in a road accident. The family lost her brother in 2008.

Public Works spokesperson Thami Mchunu confirmed that the car in which she was travelling belonged to the department. Lona’s funeral will be held on Saturday. — WR.
