On a short tour in KZN

2008-02-08 00:00

Nibs van der Spuy and Piers Faccini embark on a short South African tour this month, with two performances in KwaZulu-Natal on February 23 and February 27.

Says Van der Spuy: “I first saw Piers at the Pistoia Blues Festival in Tuscany, Italy, in July 2006, opening for Ben Harper. I was so taken in by his performance that I immediately rushed to his merchandise stand and brought his debut album, Leave No Trace. Soon after, I got to meet Piers when we were both booked for the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival in Byron Bay, Australia, in April 2007.

"We soon struck up a great friendship which has culminated in this South African tour.” See gig guide for details.
