JOHANNESBURG — A MAN was killed and seven others were injured, two of them seriously, during an accident on the N2 southbound near Sezela yesterday afternoon.

The accident reportedly happened when a two-ton vehicle overturned after the driver lost control.

The vehicle rolled several times, coming to rest in the centre median, with people strewn along the side of the road area.

Netcare 911 paramedics and provincial paramedics arrived at the scene and found that one man had died on impact.

Two other passengers were seriously injured and a further five escaped with minor injuries.

Netcare 911’s Chris Botha said that medics worked on the injured before taking them to a nearby hospital.

“Medics stabilised the injured on scene before transporting them to the G.J. Crooks hospital for the care that they required,” he said.
