PMB Winterfest concert

2011-06-10 00:00

THIS weekend sees a bumper line-up of artists at the K&K PMB Winterfest, featuring Kurt Darren, Jax Panic, Zebra and Giraffe, Flash Republic, aKING, Snotkop and Red Light Stereo.

The organisers have ensured that the event is suitable for all ages. “We have combined Afrikaans and English artists to create an event where different cultures and age groups can come together and celebrate this annual event,” says Jared Wilson of MRJ Events. “The date we have chosen is exactly a year since the soccer World Cup, which is the perfect event to celebrate such a success that the world cup was.”

New songs are on offer from Jax Panik, Flash Republic, aKING, Zebra and Giraffe, and Snotkop — all of whom have released new singles.

Gates will open at 3 pm, Red Light Stereo will perform at 3.15pm, and the Sharks vs Lions clash will be screened at the venue at 4 pm. KFC, part sponsors of the event, will have a mobile restaurant, and the music will start at 6 pm.

The College reunion after-party is scheduled to take place at the concert after the rugby.

Tickets are available from Computicket and range from R150 (general) to R290 (royalty). For more information phone 074 821 1144 or 083 195 8000. — Supplied.
