PSL: Confident United ready to face Leopards

2012-09-24 00:00

MARITZBURG United head to Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane tomorrow full of confidence for the PSL clash with Black Leopards.

Second in the standings after four matches, the Team of Choice are currently enjoying a superb start to the campaign and have no inclination of taking their foot off the pedal.

Coach Ernst Middendorp has blended a side of youth and experience. One brings energy and enthusiasm, while the other provides stability and reassurance when the chips are down.

It’s a formula that has worked well to date, with six goals scored and only three conceeded.

Bringing in new players has had the desired effect, especially in defence, where only Peter Petersen and Shu-aib Walters remain from last season.

It’s a winning combination up front and at the back and United should be confident of returning with the points after Tuesday’s clash, ahead of the match against Wits at Harry Gwala on September 28.
