PSL: Early indications promise excitement

2008-08-31 00:00

THE PSL got into full swing this weekend, and early indications are that this will be the most competitive season ever.

The start has not been special for any glut of goals — including Wednesday’s night’s two matches just 13 have been scored in eight games.

What has been notable is the extremely competitive nature of each match. Carrying on from last season, where Supersport United’s title was decided in the last five minutes, the gap between the “top” and “bottom” teams is very narrow.

This is evident in the scorelines of this weekend’s games, where no team won by more than a single-goal margin.
