Pageant: Mr and Ms Gay PMB midlands

THE Gay & Lesbian Network is celebrating Heritage Month with the Mr & Ms Gay PMB Midlands pageant on Saturday at Winston Churchill Theatre, 2 Lenister Road, Scottsville.

The pageant theme is “celebrating heritage and culture” and the programme includes poetry by Buhle Sindane, Indian dance by Tainted Pink drag artists from Durban, and African dance by the Thespian Club drama group from the Gay & Lesbian Network.

In addition, host Danielle and Mr Gay KZN 2008, Andrew Venter, will be singing live, and the Thespian Club will be performing the Village People’s YMCA.

The PMB Midlands pageant, which gets under way at 6.30 pm, is a qualifier for the Mr & Ms Gay KZN pageant on December 5.
