Parents plead for eye-witness after son’s disappearance

POLICE are seeking assistance from anyone who might have information regarding the disappearance of a 20-year-old University of Pretoria student, Duncan Allen, who disappeared on Monday in Pretoria.

Allan, whose parents are from Pietermaritzburg, is a third year B.Com. student in investment management. He was last seen on Monday when he went to collect his car from a garage in Menlo Park.

He is described as 1,9 m tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. His car is a green Jetta 3, DJY 086 GP.

According to News24, closed-circuit television footage showed Allen waiting for his car at the garage, but not how he drove off.

His phone has been switched off, his bank card has not been used and his parents, friends and hostel friends have heard nothing from him.

His parents learned of his disappearance when one of his friends phoned to enquire of his whereabouts after he missed lectures and other activities.

His mother Pam Allen said: “Duncan is a diligent and grounded scholar and man. This is completely uncharacteristic of him.

“All we are looking for is an eyewitness, because someone must have seen him somewhere,” she said.

Anyone with information can call Warrant Officer Denny Phatshwane on 082 319 9647.
