AN off duty police reservist died after being stabbed in Birmingham Road near Panorama Gardens last night.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant Joey Jeevan told The Witness that they did not have any details of how the stabbing occurred.

“It is believed he was stabbed on the road,” said Jeevan.

“He ran to the nearby security at Sealake Industries, where he collapsed.

“The guards saw he had been stabbed and called the ambulance.”

He died while paramedics were trying to resuscitate him, she said.

“Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.”

She said it was believed that he was an off duty reservist with the Stock Theft Unit.
