CAPE TOWN — After concluding their Caf Champions League journey last week, Orlando Pirates are now switching their focus back to domestic football. They start with the Telkom Knockout semi-finals against SuperSport United this weekend. The Buccaneers will be looking to move on from their Caf Champions League final defeat to Al Ahly, when they take on Cavin Johnson’s men at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria on Saturday afternoon. Roger de Sa and his charges gave Golden Arrows a 4-1 humiliation on their way to the semi-finals, courtesy of Lennox Bacela’s hat-trick and a Kermit Erasmus strike. United defeated Moroka Swallows 3-1 after extra-time, following a 1-1 stalemate in regulation time. Goals came from George Maluleka, Thuso Phala and Bradley Grobler respectively. In an interview with the SowetanLIVE website, De Sa said it would be nice to play at home in front of their home fans. He also said their loss to Al Ahly was no disgrace as the eight-time champions are one of the most experienced teams in Africa. The match is scheduled to kick off at 3 pm.
