2011-05-19 00:00

THE Witness asked its Facebook friends for feedback on their voting experience, whether they had to wait in long queues, if there were any frustrations or whether it was all plain sailing. Here’s what they had to say.

Nombulelo Mngadi

Was in and out in 5 mins in Prestbury, was escorted to the front of the queue because I had my toddler with me.

Linda Laubscher

No queue in Pelham. Quick and easy.

Dean Oellermann

Took me 7 minutes at NCF. Just wondering if parties are allowed to be campaigning with flyers, shirts, posters and flags outside voting stations. Intimidating!

Ebrahim Sheik

Went to Kharina secondry, pleasant officials. Was in and out in 10 minutes. Extremely plain sailing

Mark Rieker

Got to the polling station just before 7am and it was quick and painless with great IEC staff helping things move along.

Danni Dhanilal

Won’t be voting!

Viranna Frank

Winston churchill theatre station — outside littered with ‘yellow’ flyers. Asked the party concerned if they were going to pick it up — they were not bothered. Bad PR for them!

Martin B McNamara
